Summer Academic Support Teacher (multiple positions available)      

Wenatchee High School/WestSide High School

Schedule: Variable as needed up to 12 hours per week

Summer Session: June 17, 2024 – August 19, 2024  

Salary: Per Diem                                                      

 

DESCRIPTION: Support summer school administration with initial set-up. Coordinate summer school delivery to identified students. Communicate regularly with students regarding program completion and status. Manage software such as Canvas, Apex, and other resources. Provide customer service and positive relationships among the community. Assist with efforts to engage students in distance learning format where applicable. Design lessons that extend content objectives sufficient to complete deficient credits. Interact and communicate with students, parents, and other staff. Attendance and punctuality are critical for this position. Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Current WHS/WSHS staff member (respectively). Valid Washington state certification. Knowledge of content objectives associated with HS graduation requirements. Knowledge of Canvas and Apex is a must. Ability to work collaboratively with summer program staff. Knowledge of school operations, policies and procedures. Experience in an ALE setting. Flexibility to work in a diverse and changing environment. Preference given to previous summer school teachers. Attendance and punctuality are critical for this position.
