Lifeguards (up to 12 positions available)
Temporary seasonal lifeguards for 2016-2017 school year Wenatchee High School
Salary: $11.50 per hour
*Beginning 2017-2018 School Year
QUALIFICATIONS: First Aid/CPR/ and AED certificates (Washington State accepted certificates). Current Lifeguard Certificate required. ARC or YMCA preferred. HIV/AIDS Hepatitis B training or equivalent. WSD required employment training. Knowledge of water safety and accident prevention. Ability to interact positively with students, staff, and community. Skills in verbal and written communication.
RESPONSIBLITIES: Under the direction of the Aquatics Coordinator, the lifeguard is responsible for supporting the athletic swim programs and various user groups. Performance Responsibilities. Acts as rescuer/care giver in emergency situations. Recognizes and prevents potential aquatic accidents. Informs and educates athletes and pool users about pool rules and their importance. Reports problems to the Aquatics Coordinator or Head Lifeguard. Attends all staff training sessions and meetings. Performs related duties as assigned.
