Extended School Year (ESY) Speech Language Pathologist

Special Education

5 hours per day: 7:30 am - 12:30 pm

June 24, 2024 - July 26, 2024 (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday)

 

DESCRIPTION:  Work with individual students who qualify for Extended School Year in the area of IEP speech goals. Other related duties.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Washington state certification with appropriate endorsement endorsement (ESA SLP). Strong communication and technical skills. Working knowledge/experience with students with disabilities. Ability to provide therapy to students with disabilities using specific techniques required for a variety of disabilities. Follow IEP goals and objectives in the area of speech and language. Computer knowledge and skills to work with communication systems. Ability to work with students of all ages on academic and life skills. May require prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position.

Disclosure Statement and Record Check:  Pursuant to Chapter 486, Washington Laws of 1987, the recommended applicant, if not a current regular employee, will be required to complete a disclosure form indicating whether he or she has been convicted of crimes against persons listed in the law. In addition, a background check, based on fingerprints, will be requested from the Washington State Patrol & FBI.  Employment is conditional based upon completion of the record check.
