Lifeguards (up to 15 positions available)

Temporary seasonal lifeguards for 2024-2025 school year
Wenatchee High School

Salary: $16.28  per hour 

                                                    

QUALIFICATIONS:  First Aid/CPR/ and AED certification (Washington State accepted certificates). Current Lifeguard Certificate required. ARC or YMCA preferred. HIV/AIDS Hepatitis B training or equivalent. WSD required employee training. Knowledge of water safety and accident prevention. Ability to interact positively with students, staff, and the community. Skills in verbal and written communication.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Under the direction of the Aquatics Coordinator, the lifeguard is responsible for supporting the athletic swim programs and various user groups. Acts as rescuer/caregiver in emergency situations. Recognizes and prevents potential aquatic accidents. Informs and educates athletes and pool users about pool rules and their importance. Reports problems to the Aquatics Coordinator or Head Lifeguard. Attends all staff training sessions and meetings. Performs related duties as assigned.

In addition, a background check, based on fingerprints, will be requested from the Washington State Patrol & FBI.  Employment is conditional based upon completion of the record check.
